Starter site terms

What you are buying

The Starter site is a custom five-page website: Home, About and Contact, plus two more pages of your choice (for example Services, Pricing, FAQ or Testimonials). You choose what each page is called. It includes a mobile-responsive layout, a contact form with email delivery, basic on-page SEO, and deployment on Vercel. It is built to WCAG 2.2 AA and tested for accessibility and mobile performance before launch. JDX does not guarantee that a site meets any particular law or legal standard.

Anything beyond that, such as more pages, a blog, an online store, or custom features, is a separate engagement and is quoted separately.

JDX drafts the text for your five pages from the notes you give in the project intake form. Copywriting beyond those notes is quoted separately.

Price and deposit

The price is the price shown at checkout, including any public sale running at the time you pay. You pay a 20% deposit today as the first payment toward that price. The agreed price is fixed when you pay the deposit, even if a sale ends later.

The deposit is non-refundable.

The balance

JDX invoices the balance (the price less your deposit) when your site is ready for your review. The invoice is due within 10 days after you accept the site. ACH bank transfer is the default, and cards are accepted.

Timeline and revisions

Most Starter sites are delivered in two to four weeks from the day you submit your project intake form and your content. The timeline depends on how quickly you provide content and feedback.

The price includes 2 rounds of revisions to the five pages. Further changes are quoted separately.

Ownership

You keep ownership of the text, logos and photos you provide. You own the finished website once the balance is paid in full. Until then JDX owns the work and may hold back the final handoff. JDX keeps its own pre-existing tools and code, and grants you a permanent license to use them as part of your site.

You confirm you have the right to use the content, logos, and photos you give JDX.

Hosting and management after launch

Every site JDX builds needs Hosting + Management after launch: $45 per month or $450 per year, with no minimum term. It keeps your domain active and your site's dependencies current, and includes basic copy updates (text-only changes to existing content, up to 2 requests per month). Your build includes 30 days of post-launch support, and hosting + management begins after those 30 days. JDX sends the sign-up link when your site launches.

Your part

You provide your content, images, and feedback in a timely way. Delays on your side move the delivery date.
