From Wix to Custom: Rebuilding Tacwolf Training Solutions for Speed, Brand, and Ownership

Tumaini had built Tacwolf's web presence on Wix, which got him online quickly but came with real tradeoffs: platform fees that added up, a rigid design system that made it hard to express the Tacwolf brand, and performance that lagged behind what a training and solutions company needs to project credibility. JDX migrated Tacwolf off Wix entirely and built a custom site on Next.js, deployed on Vercel, with a proper GitHub repo under active maintenance. The rebuild wasn't just a lift-and-shift — it was a ground-up opportunity to translate Tumaini's brand vision into a site without the constraints Wix imposed. JDX implemented full SEO structure, connected the site to Google Search Console, created branded favicons and social sharing images to replace Wix and Vercel defaults, and fixed broken gated routes so logged-out visitors are redirected cleanly instead of hitting 404s. The site is now enrolled in JDX's Website Care plan, with continuous uptime monitoring and regular health digests tracking performance over time.

The rebuilt site is measurably faster and more discoverable than what Wix was delivering. Server response time dropped 85%, total blocking time fell 95%, and the Lighthouse performance score climbed from 60 to 80. SEO jumped from 66 to 99 out of 100. Tumaini also shed the recurring Wix platform overhead in favor of a leaner hosting setup and a maintenance plan sized for a small business — at a fraction of what Wix was costing for less control.
